PICO Genesis laser procedure takes an entirely new approach to the treatment of pigmentation issues and skin revitalization. This method combines the benefits of two highly effective wavelengths in ultra-short pulses to cause an intense, non-thermal, photo mechanical disruption and remodeling of the upper dermis.
What does this mean for you? A brighter, more uniform complexion in fewer treatment sessions than traditional methods.
Originally developed for tattoo removal, picosecond lasers are now being used for a variety of conditions, including skin toning, reducing hyperpigmentation, and building collagen. With virtually no downtime.
If you are looking for a skin revitalization procedure that is quick and convenient and that also gives you a more radiant, brighter, and uniform skin complexion, PICO Genesis™ might just be the solution.
The PICO Genesis laser procedure delivers picosecond pulses that not only shatter unwanted pigment, but also remodel the skin’s deeper layer.

Picosecond pulses are ultra-short energy pulses – one trillionth of a second long – and are often used in skin resurfacing and rejuvenating procedures. While previous generation lasers delivered a pulse every thousandth of a second, the PICO Genesis laser procedure clears your skin by delivering picosecond pulses in a non-invasive procedure with very little downtime.
Thermal laser resurfacing runs the risk of various adverse reactions such as redness, swelling, and itching that can be intense and may last for several months. In addition, previous generations of resurfacing technology has led to bacterial, fungal, or viral infections, changes in skin color, and scarring.
Picosecond pulses leaves your skin looking radiant without the adverse reactions mentioned above.
Thermal laser resurfacing generally takes 30 minutes to two hours, depending on the technique your doctor uses and the size of the area being treated. It is an outpatient procedure that is usually done in your doctor’s office. In addition to the time it takes to perform the procedure, it also takes about 1-2 weeks for new skin to completely cover the treated area.
Picosecond pulses involve minimal downtime, the treatment takes 20 minutes, and can be completed during your lunch hour.
Previously, several treatment sessions were required to get satisfactory results, but with picosecond pulses, you see results in as few as 1-2 treatment sessions.
Because PICO Genesis is effective on all skin types, virtually everyone can benefit from the procedure. Speak to your PICO Genesis provider today!

Imagine breaking away from your daily routine and facing each day with a naturally radiant look. PICO GenesisTM offers a lasting solution to everyday skin concerns.
Pigment Particles are small and dense, which makes them difficult to remove. They are also very susceptible heat, a trait that made previous types of lasers risky treatment methods. The PICO Genesis laser uses non-thermal picosecond pulses that are highly focused so that surrounding tissue isn’t damaged. These pulses break up the pigment and leave your skin clearer and your complexion more uniform.
Picosecond pulses can be used on both the face and the body with excellent results. Because this treatment gets results when used on every type, everyone can benefit from the procedure.
