Happy patient after dermal fillers

We attempt to keep this pricing page up to date, it can be used as a guide to help you understand what you might expect to pay. However, everyone’s skin and anti-aging concerns are unique and treatments recommended by our staff will be determined by our assessment. In order to avoid any misunderstanding, please make sure you discuss and confirm pricing with your practitioner prior to the commencement of any treatment.

Please note the pricing on this page is only for treatment at MIRA Clinic in West Perth. Pricing for treatments done at venues outside of our West Perth clinic may differ, please confirm pricing with your practitioner before proceeding with any treatments.

Laser Tattoo Reduction

We have decided to show our price list for laser tattoo reduction so that clients can get an approximate idea of how much the treatment process will cost. If you send us a photo we can guess from the photo the dimensions so we can give you an indicative price. Better photos, especially if they include a ruler or something else that allows us to determine scale, will allow us to give a better indication of pricing. However, any indicative quotes we offer based on photos or descriptions are not guaranteed, until one of our practitioners sees it in person and measures it during a consultation.

Cost per treatment
The main determinant of laser tattoo reduction pricing is the size of the tattoo (and therefore the amount of time taken and the number of laser pulses needed).
Please use the following table as a guide to help you get an idea on the cost of laser tattoo reduction using our state of the art Cutera Enlighten 3 laser:

  • Laser Tattoo Removal Extra Small up to 4 sq. cm (eg. 2 cm x 2 cm) $160
  • Laser Tattoo Removal Small up to 16 sq. cm (eg. 4 cm x 4 cm) $220
  • Laser Tattoo Removal Medium up to 36 sq. cm (eg. 6 cm x 6 cm) $320
  • Laser Tattoo Removal Large up to 81 sq. cm (eg. 9 cm x 9 cm) $420
  • Laser Tattoo Removal Extra Large up to 144 sq. cm (eg. 12 cm x 12 cm) $550
  • Laser Tattoo Removal Extra Extra Large up to 300 sq. cm (eg. 15 cm x 20 cm) $650

Please note that treatment times are capped at 30 minutes. If we are unable to treat the whole tattoo within this time, the full fee is still payable and you will need to return at later date to complete the treatment and you will be charged according to the above table. This can usually be avoided by organising appropriate pain relief with us beforehand, which we will discuss during your consultation.

Laser Tattoo removal for Eyebrow Tattoo

  • 2 full eyebrows – $320 per treatment
  • Part eyebrows – $220 per treatment
  • Small spot treatment – $160

*For very large (i.e. tattoos even bigger than “extra extra large”) tattoos we normally need to quote on a case by case basis. Often it is medically not possible and not safe to treat above a certain size all in one visit. In particular, any tattoo that wraps the whole way around a limb needs to be treated in two separate visits. Usually, we would recommend treating half of the tattoo, then three weeks later the other half of the tattoo.

For example, an armband that is 1.5 cm wide and 40 cm around the arm (60 sq. cm), the cost would be $420, but the treatment would have to take place over two visits. Each visit would cost $210.

Please note the above pricing is indicative only, and not a binding quote or promise. Final pricing is dependent upon being assessed in person by one of our Laser Qualified Registered Nurses or Laser Qualified Medical Practitioners.

If your tattoo is multicoloured or solid ink with no gaps, it will require a lot more time and more laser pulses to treat so we won’t be able to compromise on the above pricing.

Mira clinic tattoo removal before after 1 - mira clinic - 5Number of Treatments RequiredIt’s impossible to predict how many treatments you are going to need until the process is started, our doctor can discuss some of the factors and make an approximate estimate for you when you come in for your first consultation. The above photo with multiple pictures of the same forearm tattoo shows the fading of a tattoo after 9 treatments, and how the tattoo looked after each of the nine treatments. This is an average result for a professionally done single ink colour tattoo and can help you get an idea of how many treatments you may need. There are lots of other factors that can alter the progress and we can’t always predict them. Please understand we have successfully treated hundreds of tattoos and we always try to give an honest and realistic estimate based upon the actual appearance of your tattoo. Most of our competitors simply offer a vague and unrealistic statement such as “in as few as four treatments”. The only time a tattoo fades in just 4 treatments is with very old and amateur tattoos and we think it’s dishonest to offer this kind of estimate for a professional solid ink tattoo. We have seen literally dozens of clients who started at other clinics due to dishonest estimates at the other clinics and after very little progress and a lot of wasted money decided to come and see us to get their tattoo treated properly.

Tattoos on the fingers and feet usually take more treatments to clear (because the lymphatic drainage is not as good as in other parts of the body). Tattoos with more ink due to redos, cover-ups or solid multicolour designs usually take longer. Amateur tattoos and ink from more than 20 years ago usually take fewer treatments.Pre-pay for 5 treatments and get the 6th freeIf you pre-pay for a pack of 5 treatments, you will get your 6th treatment (to the same size) free of charge.

Getting the skin very cold takes a lot of the sting out of the laser treatment. Another option which a lot of clients like is to come in with topical local anaesthetic (which they applied on the tattoo themselves about an hour before their appointment). Please come in for a consultation with us to get more information on this. We sell topical local anaesthetic cream, or you can buy it from most pharmacies.Consultation with no obligation to proceedA consultation with one of our practitioners costs just $30 and you can learn a lot about the treatment process and expected results. When you book you will need to pay us $30 deposit to secure your booking. This deposit is forfeit if you do not courteously advise us of your need to cancel or reschedule with more than 24 hours notice. If you decide to proceed to treatment on the same day as your consultation this $30 fee will be deducted from the cost of your first treatment.
Mira clinic tattoo removal before after 3 - mira clinic - 7Possible extra costs that are not included in the above pricing

  • Numbing (topical anaesthetic) cream
Numbing cream can be purchased separately from us or from most pharmacies. It will work best if it is kept covered so it doesn’t dry out and it needs to be on for at least 60 minutes before the treatment. There are limits to how much can be applied safely, please follow the instructions carefully and only use cream bought from a pharmacy or a medical clinic
  • Numbing (local anaesthetic) injections
For the best possible comfort, we can numb your tattoo with local anaesthetic injections (subject to medical assessment and prescription). Due to the extra time and consumable costs, there is a surcharge for this service equal to an additional 20% on the cost of the tattoo laser treatment.
  • Dressings
If there is blistering after treatment we will give you advice on how best to care for the area while it heals. This may include the use of dressings, bandages and ointments that are not included in the cost of your treatment.
  • Stratamed
Stratamed is an advanced film-forming wound dressing specifically developed to help wounds heal faster and to help prevent abnormal scarring. Our clients who use Stratamed after their laser tattoo reduction treatments report faster recovery, fewer side effects and faster ink fading. Depending on the size of the tattoo being treated a single tube might be all that is needed for all of your tattoo treatments.

Medicare RebatesThere are no Medicare or private health fund rebates for these consultations or treatments.
Choosing your clinicWhen you are choosing your clinic for your tattoo removal treatments please make sure the clinic has a laser license and only has laser licensed medical doctors or laser licensed registered nurses who are performing your treatments (which is required by law in Western Australia). Please also make sure your clinic is experienced at doing these treatments and are using a proper medical grade laser. You should also ask to see actual results that the clinic has achieved themselves.
