Video Consulation

When MIRA Clinic patients who live a long way from Perth aren’t sure about which treatments they may wish to have, we recommend booking in for a video consultation appointment. It would be a shame to travel a long way and then find out the treatment you were hoping to have with us involves more risk, cost or downtime than you were prepared for. Sometimes, treatments are not recommended for medical reasons.

Our reception team are able to provide some general information in response to enquiries but they are not Health Care Practitioners, so they are unable to give any advice specific to your circumstances.

In the past, we tried to include fairly comprehensive information on our website to help prospective patients to learn more about the treatments that we offer, but the advertising rules for medical treatments limit the information that we are able to put on the website.

By having a video consultation with us, we can assess your overall health, your specific skin concerns, your unique features, as well as your motivations for the treatment. After doing this assessment, we can make some more detailed treatment recommendations for you and provide information on a range of possible treatments tailored to your circumstances.

Our goal is to genuinely help you to decide if any of them are of interest for you. At MIRA Clinic our philosophy is to only recommend treatments when we are confident that our patients properly understand the treatments including the risks of side effects and risks of inadequate results. Its quite common for us to recommend that patients don’t proceed with certain treatments when we can see that they are not likely to get the results they are hoping for.

A video consultation with our nursing staff costs $70 and this needs to be paid at the time of booking in the form of a deposit.

When you book a video consultation, we will send you full instructions and a list of things you need to do before your video consultation appointment.

You need to give us a brief description of your concerns and the main things you want to achieve during your consultation

(If you give us all the relevant information we can improve the quality of our consultation)

You need to complete our “New client registration form” before your video consultation appointment

If relevant, you will also need to send us some photos of the area you wish to discuss with us

Your Nurse will have the time blocked out in their diary for your appointment, so we can only reschedule your appointment if we get notice from you more than 24 hours before the appointment time. We will do our best to initiate the video call at your scheduled time, but please allow us up to 10 minutes grace (in case we get delayed during our previous appointment). If the video call fails to connect (usually due to poor internet connection) we will make a voice call instead.

Refunds of the booking deposit are only possible if you notify us that you wish to cancel more than 24 hours before the appointment time.

Video consultations are performed using Apple’s FaceTime. At the time of your consultation we will send a link to join the video call. You do not need to have an iPhone to join, any smart phone or computer with a camera should work.

Please remember that these consultations are for the purpose of discussing potential future treatments with us at one of our clinics in West Perth or Joondalup.

If you need to discuss the management of a complication from a cosmetic treatment not performed at MIRA Clinic, then you will need to contact one of our clinics directly and arrange a review or video call with one of our complications experts and different pricing will apply.

People will stare.

Make it worth their while
