Curtin FM’s Jenny Seaton chats to MIRA Clinic’s Dr Andrew Clark

From dermal fillers to Botox and the Brazilian Butt Lift, MIRA Clinic’s Dr Andrew Clark recently caught up with Curtin FM’s Jenny Seaton to chat about the biggest trends in cosmetic medicine.

Fresh from being named one of the world’s Top 100 Global Aesthetic Leaders by MyFaceMyBody, Dr Andrew joined the accomplished television presenter turned radio host to delve into the results of the American Society for Plastic Surgeons’ recent major annual survey.

A key finding of the international survey revealed the growing popularity of non-surgical procedures, such as wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers, a rise Dr Andrew attributes to the affordability, positive satisfaction rate and minimal downtime necessary.

“When it comes to non surgical treatments, so any treatment that doesn’t involve an operation or cutting open the skin, there’s a lot less downtime, it’s usually less expensive and it’s usually a pretty quick and simple matter to get these treatments done,” Dr Andrew explained.

Jenny also addressed the changing attitudes towards cosmetic medicine, noting: “Today it’s sort of like getting your nails done or your tanning done. People go and get their heavy lines taken out of their face and it just makes them feel that much better.”
